The headstone in the Annalong river

The Soldier and the Stone Part 1

What would you do if you found an old gravestone lying in the middle of a riverbed just miles from your home?

That is exactly what happened to our reporter Julie McCullough when she discovered a headstone belonging to a First World War soldier in the Annalong river.

But who was this soldier? And how did his headstone end up in a river in the middle of the Mournes?

Julie sets out to find the answers in the first part of a week long series of exclusive reports.
