St Ronan's Primary School, Newry

Swine flu closes school

The swine flu pandemic has forced one of our primary schools to close early for the summer after a P2 pupil tested positive for the virus.

The six year old boy, who attends Saint Ronan's in Newry, has recently returned from a family holiday in Mexico.

The little boy and his younger brother are the first children in Northern Ireland to be confirmed as suffering from the illness.

Our Health Correspondent Marie-Louise Connolly has spent the day in Newry and sent this report.
