Travellers' caravans outside Belfast City Hall

Protesting Travellers to move on

Two families who had parked their caravans outside Belfast City Hall as part of protest about housing conditions have agreed to leave the area.

Their decision comes after Belfast City Council started legal proceedings in a bid to move the caravans away from the central Belfast building.

It is understood an agreement was reached with the families earlier today, without the matter going to court.

Chris Page reports.
