Mercy killing

A Belfast court has been told that a man tried to carry out a so-called mercy killing on one of his friends at the Royal Victoria Hospital yesterday.

58 year old Thomas Hawkes has been charged with attempted murder. It's believed to be the first case of its kind in Northern Ireland. Julian O'Neill reports.
