A soldier from Belfast has become the latest British serviceman to die in Afghanistan. His heartbroken father has spoken of his family's grief.

Lance Corporal Nigel Moffett, of the Light Dragoons, was killed in an explosion in Helmand Province on Saturday.

He died alongside Corporal Stephen Bolger, of the Parachute Regiment.

The 28-year-old was the eldest son in a family of eight and was originally from the Holywood Road area of east Belfast.
