Ex-policeman among trafficking suspects

The police operation to free women allegedly trafficked to Northern Ireland as prostitutes was dramatically captured by our cameras on Thursday.

Now we can reveal that one of the men being questioned as part of an investigation into the prostitution ring is a former police officer.

The target of the six month PSNI operation, which involved searches in Belfast, Londonderry and England, was a Chinese based mafia gang.
