The First Minister Peter Robinson has been defending the expenses he and his wife Iris claimed at Westminster.

The Daily Telegraph reported that the couple had claimed tens of thousands of pounds for food bills in London over the last four years.

The DUP leader argues that the claims were not unreasonable and adding that his party wants to replace what he described as the shambolic Westminster expenses system.
