The government and security services now believe dissident republicans pose a greater threat than ever.

We've obtained information that shows just how seriously they're taking the activity of splinter groups who left a bomb near the County Down village of Castlewellan just over a month ago.

The scale of the threat was discussed in the House of Commons today.
