House demolished

It's emerged that the family living next door to a house which was demolished without warning, have been left to their own devices to sort out the mess.

The Richman family in Newcastle woke early on Sunday to the sound of a digger knocking down the terraced house. Health and safety experts are checking if their home is safe. Our environment correspondent, Mike McKimm reports.

Over the weekend they were woken up by the thundering sound of heavy machinery which was being used to demolish the house next door.
