Evans search

The IRA is continuing to deny involvement in the murder of a south Armagh man who disappeared more than thirty years ago.

That's despite a person claiming to be one of its members telling a newspaper he wanted the truth out that Gerard Evans was shot by the organisation because it suspected he was an informer.

Twenty four-year-old Mr Evans was from Crossmaglen and its now claimed his body was buried in bog land two miles from Hackballscross in County Louth.

Julian O'Neill reports.
