Illegal Dumping

A local poultry firm has moved in to clear up scores of chicken carcases illegally dumped near Sixmilecross in County Tyrone.

Moy Park is investigating the discovery of documents, apparently from one its farms, at the site.

The company says it is appalled by the illegal dumping and is threatening to end all links with any farmer who is found to be involved.

Our rural correspondent Martin Cassidy returned to the site as the clean-up began.

On Monday's BBC Newsline, we brought you our first exclusive report on scores of dead chickens which were discovered near a stream in County Tyrone.

One of our viewers contacted us about the problem and our rural correspondent Martin Cassidy went to investigate.
