South Pole Adventure

Trekking to the South Pole is one of the ultimate endurance tests - but imagine doing it without being able to see anything.

Well, Mark Pollock from Holywood is set to become the first blind person to reach the South Pole. He's taking part in the first competitive race to the Pole in nearly a hundred years.

He left for Antarctica today - Chris Page watched his final preparations.
