Factory Safety Confusion

Why can't new houses be built where people are already living?

We've been trying to answer a question that concerns the safety of people living in South Belfast.

There are many factories across Northern Ireland that store chemicals, and people live safely beside them.

But some residents in South Belfast can't understand why new homes aren't allowed to be built next to a plant on their doorstep. Claire Savage has been investigating.

As part of her investigations she spoke to Dermot Curran, Chief Executive of the Belfast Community Housing Association.
