Slipper Amnesty

300 new pairs of slippers were handed out in West Belfast today.

There was one condition: you had to hand in your old slippers. Old and worn footwear is responsible for people accidents in the home, particularly among the elderly.

Some people love their slippers, while others think they look more than a bit silly. BBC Newsline asked some of the shoppers in Belfast what they thought of the mighty slipper.
