Faced with higher fuel costs, many people are turning again to log fires to heat their homes.

Environmentalists may have welcomed the move away from coal and oil, but the changing habit has a negative side effect.

Such is the demand, that in some places tree poachers are using chain saws to cut down and steal trees.
