Up to three thousand extra scheduled flights could come in and out of the airport every year. But the airport will also be subject to tighter restrictions on noise and flight activity. A spokesman for the airport welcomed the flight agreement and said it would allow them to serve the wider community. BBC Newsline's Tara Mills has been to the airport and has this report.
