Derry City v Celtic

Derry City welcome Celtic FC

Glasgow Celtic FC visited the Brandywell to play Derry City, which allowed Paddy McCourt to return to his former club.

Celtic coach Neil Lennon says former Derry City winger Paddy McCourt is knocking on the door of a place in the first team.

McCourt, who joined Celtic in the summer after three years at Brandywell, told BBC Newsline that he's really enjoying his time at the club. He's adapting to a new training regime and soon hopes to stake a claim for a place in the Parkhead club's first eleven. He spoke to BBC Newsline just before the friendly against his old club.

The game was part of the transfer deal taking the 24 year old to the Scottish champions.
