HIV on the Rise

There's been a dramatic rise in the number of people being diagnosed as HIV positive.

54 cases were confirmed in the first six months of this year - compared to 65 for the whole of 2007.

It's a condition that's now affecting more younger people - and more straight people have been diagnosed this year than those from the gay community.

BBC Newsline's Tara Mills spoke to Stuart Kirk of the HIV Centre about these figures and the way they're testing for HIV. You can see the full interview here:
