A motorcyclist has been killed after an accident on the A92, Tayside Police have confirmed.
The man's bike was in collision with a van north of Inverkeillor on the Montrose to Arbroath road.
Police said the 33-year-old man, who was from the Montrose area, died at the scene shortly after 0700 BST. The 58-year-old male driver of the van was uninjured.
Crash investigators have been examining the scene.
The road was closed in both directions between Braehead and Inverkeillor.
