Macauley McQueen was last seen in Dumfries on 22 December
A body found on a beach in Dumfries and Galloway has been confirmed as missing teenager Macauley McQueen.
The 18-year-old had not been seen since he entered the River Nith in Dumfries in the early hours of 22 December.
His body was discovered on a beach near Glencaple on Thursday. A post-mortem examination has been arranged.
Searches involving lifeboats, the coastguard, mountain rescue teams, the fire service and police were carried out.
