More than 500 school children are expected to attend a science festival in the Scottish Borders.
Bang Goes the Borders promises a wide range of attractions with an educational element.
Scientists from Heriot Watt University will be on hand to encourage the children to learn about science and consider it as a future career.
The open event at St Mary's School starts on Friday evening and runs throughout Saturday.
