The body of a man has been found on the shoreline in the St Cyrus area of Aberdeenshire.
Police Scotland said relatives of missing man Fraser Carrington, 32, from the Fife area, had been informed of the development.
Sea angler Mr Carrington was night fishing at Tangleha, north of St Cyrus, when he disappeared from rocks in the early hours of Sunday.
Police said inquires were ongoing to identify the body.
