Tourists and locals once flocked to Tarlair outdoor pool

A 1930s outdoor swimming pool complex at Macduff in Aberdeenshire has been given a reprieve.

Councillors had been asked to agree filling-in some of the Tarlair pools.

However, that plan has been thrown out while the cost of a full restoration is investigated.

Tarlair is one of only a handful of Scotland's open air pools which remain. Tourists and locals once flocked to the venue.
