Two names have been added to a war memorial in Inverness.

Queen's Own Highlander Lt Alistair McKillop died in a helicopter crash in Belize in August 1976.

Sgt Craig Hilliard was among nine personnel killed when their RAF C130 Hercules crashed north of Blair Atholl in May 1993.

Since 2012, the names of local military personnel who died in conflicts and tours after 1945 have been added to the Cavell Gardens War Memorial.

Lt McKillop was on a tour of duty in Central America when he died, while Sgt Hilliard was training for service in Bosnia when he was killed.

The names were officially unveiled in ceremony on Tuesday morning.
