But she found everyone there had something to offer and Rokafella went from idol to mentor. Process 08 was an international Hip Hop theatre workshop aiming to preserve the language of hip hop theatre in British culture. Behind it is Benji Reid, the creative director of Manchester based Breaking Cycles. Benji helped pioneer "breaking" in this country and worked with the legendary Soul II Soul as the main dancer and co-choreographer for their world tour. During Process 08 young artists had the opportunity to work alongside and learn from some of the world's most innovative and pioneering Hip Hop masters. Among them were veteran Hip Hop performers, Gabriel Dionisio aka Kwikstep and Anita Garcia aka Rokafella. The husband and wife team formed a Hip-Hop dance theatre company, Full Circle Productions in New York City. last updated: 16/10/2008 at 10:13 Have Your SayYour views on this film SEE ALSOYou are in: Manchester > Video Nation > Breaking Out Video NationPopular films on Video Nation right now |
