Roads along the marathon route and approaches will close at either 0700 or 0800 BST, with a reopening in stages as the runners pass through; the first roads will reopen from 1100 BST. As a general rule, most roads south of the river will open by 1300 BST, and by 1900 BST to the north. Marathon travel linkPublic transport will be free to race runners and officials on the Tube and DLR until 5pm, as long as you show your tabard or race number. Marathon travel linkTubeHere are the closures that will affect you on race day. District line: suspended between Upminster and Barking due to engineering works. Replacement bus service. Circle and District lines: Blackfriars station is closed for rebuilding. Mansion House or Temple stations are the alternatives. Cannon Street will also be closed on Sunday as usual. Hammersmith & City line: suspended between Plaistow and Barking. Northern line: Goodge Street station will be closed. Piccadilly line: suspended between Uxbridge and South Harrow and the Metropolitan line will be suspended between Uxbridge and Harrow-on-the-Hill. Buses replace trains. Marathon travel link
London OvergroundNo services between Richmond and Stratford, Gospel Oak and Barking and Shepherd's Bush to Willesden Junction. A replacement bus service will run from Gospel Oak to Barking and from Gunnersbury to Stratford. Trains between Clapham Junction and Shepherd's Bush will run once an hour. Marathon travel linkDocklands Light RailwayEnhanced service throughout the weekend with trains on Sunday beginning at 05.30 BST from Tower Gateway and Lewisham. Services during the Marathon will operate as frequently as every 2½ minutes on the busiest sections of the route. From 1600 BST, a normal Sunday service will operate until close of play at around 2330 BST.
