Rainbows Plan

Rainbows Extension

Since January 2007 BBC Radio Leicester has been raising money for the Rainbows Children's Hospice extension through the Ruby Rainbow Appeal. Take a look at the plans for the extension, that will include a special unit for young people...

At the start of 2007 the Rainbows Children's Hospice near Loughborough launched its 'Building for the Future' campaign to expand the hospice and develop the facilities.

The extension will mean six extra beds to allow children and young people, plus their families and friends, to have more nights staying in the hospice.

The campaign will also raise money for a separate unit for young people, which BBC Radio Leicester's Ruby Rainbow Appeal is contributing to as well.

Plan of the extension

The new building will also offer more opportunities to the children and young people - a hydrotherapy pool, young people’s sitting room, extended therapy facilities, an education and training suite, and new offices for the community and activity teams.
