Sweaty palms? Thumping heart? Blank brain? ……It must be exam time! If you are stressing out over exams, take comfort from the fact you are not the only one. Alex Wright, aged 18, from Rothley in Leicestershire, is taking A levels at Rawlins Community College in Quorn. He is doing music technology, media studies, politics and general studies. Alex’s last exam is on 30 June. He and mum Jenny, who is aged 54 and a professional artist, have recorded an audio diary of the highs and lows of exam time. After leaving school Alex will be doing a one year diploma to gain theatre and media production skills. He will be studying production operation at ARRTS Skillcentre in Bubwith in North Yorkshire. Alex says it will help him decide exactly what career path he wants to follow. He said: “I want to work in the media but I am not 100 per cent sure exactly what job I want. “This course will really help me because it covers all the basics.” |
