Linda says: "I'm 28, and have been taking photos since I was 14. I did GCSE and A level Photography at school, and it was my photography tutor who eventually inspired me to go into teaching - I am currently studying a PGCE at Bradford college.
"My favourite subjects are abbeys, castles and rock bands. Kirkstall Abbey is a wonderful place to go and is just three miles from my home. Whitby Abbey is spectacular, and well worth the climb up the steps! "Rock band photography is something I just fell into, taking my camera along to gigs to take snaps. I started approaching the band beforehand, to see if they would mind if I took my 'proper' camera (a Canon EOS 5) along with me to the gig, as long as I let them use the pictures. "I love photographing small gigs because you can really capture the atmosphere, and I always get closer to the band. "I have three children who are rapidly getting fed up of appearing in my photos! When I am not being a teacher or a photographer, I love listening to rock music (I saw Iron Maiden five times last year!), playing flute and guitar and watching comedians Eddie Izzard and Bill Bailey."
