A stunning collection of black and white photographs, portraying the life and beauty of our rivers, will be on show to the public on Friday 23 March 2007, when Yorkshire Water's Riverlife photographic exhibition comes to Leeds, showcasing images from the internationally renowned photographer, Ian Beesley. The exhibition is being staged in the Victoria Quarter in Leeds city centre and celebrates how the quality of river water in the Aire has improved after the upgrading of waste water treatment works. Ian Beesley started his working life at Yorkshire Water's Esholt sewage plant in Bradford before leaving to pursue his love of photography. His current exhibition features images depicting both the rural and urban life of rivers and Ian has spent almost a year collecting the shots.
