Match Reports

Accrington Girls U11s 6-0 Brierfield Celtic

By Paul Chadwick
This was no April fools day for AGSA as they continued their unbeaten streak with a 6-0 win over middle of the table Brierfield.

This was perfect weather and some good passing football resulted in AGSA being 3-0 up at half time, the first was created by a good run & cross from Laura S with Courtney P scoring at the far post. The next came from Laura who this time shot herself and the third came from Millie C who cut in from the right to score.

The second half was much the same and although Brierfield had a couple of attempts nothing came of it. The fourth came from a cross from Carrie I and Vicky B scored at the far post again.

Goal number five was a run & shot from Carrie I & the sixth came just before the final whistle as Megan D just beat the keeper to the ball to score.

Player of the Match:

Carrie I

  • Meanwhile, Thornton had been beaten 2-0 at home by Lammack after last week's blustery conditions.
