Don’t bring your complaints where they are not wanted.<.b>

Hello.  Dónall here again.  Thank you for the e-mails.  Some of you are despairing.  Some of you are saying to me that it’s not worth the fight.  Some of you are of the opinion that the research is not worth it.  Don’t let anyone lose heart.  We can act together.  The politicians will pay attention to us.  The public will pay attention to us but we must be organised first.  We must stand together.  That’s best.  That’s the best way.  Let us not accept the status quo.  Let us not be despairing.  Let us be active.  Let us be hopeful.

We have knowledge.  We have research.  We have statistics and now we have a plan.  We will have a campaign.  We will have a campaign based on the research.  We will have a campaign based on the knowledge and the statistics.  My first proposal is this:
write to every politician.  Let them know that you are worried about this question.  Tell them that you are not ignorant about this question.  You are a voter and you are not a stupid voter.  You have done your work.  You recognise the difference between what the politicians are saying and what the politicians are doing.  It’s another case of: do as I say, not as I do.

I am not satisfied with that.  You should not be satisfied with that.  The politicians should fulfil their promises.  They should listen to us.  They should listen to the public, to the general public.  Therefore, the first step is to contact them.  We will make them change their mind.  We will stand our ground.  We will show them that we have sense and reason.  We will show them that we have research.  We will spread the word among the politicians and the public.

I contacted my local politician recently.  I wrote to him.  I told him that I was worried about the state of the planet.  I told him I was worried about global warming.  He didn’t answer me.  He turned a deaf ear to me.  I didn’t accept the deaf ear.  I wrote to him again.  He answered me this time.  He gave a negative answer to my request.  I didn’t care.  I carried on.  I wrote to him again.  I put my research before him.  I began a debate with him.  I didn’t give in.  I didn’t lose my courage.

As the old people say “Don’t bring your complaints where they are not wanted.” This is what I say: “the courageous man never lost the game”.  I never lost my courage.  I didn’t give in.  I am still playing.  The game is not over; the race is not run.  I am writing to him again today. I will put the new research before him.  You collected that research for me.  I am grateful to you.  You did the work.  That work helped me.  I am moving ahead, thanks to you.

I will tell him that other people are worried about this question.  I will tell him I am not a loner.  I will tell him that I have friends; that we are working together.  I will tell him that we have courage; that we are not going to give in.  I wrote on my own initiative.  That’s my campaign.  You wrote too.  You wrote too and they will have to listen to us.  We are not foolish.  We know something is wrong.  I will have to annoy this politician once again.  He!  I will be in contact with you soon.  Goodbye for a little while.
