Open CentreYou are in: Humber > Community > Open Centre > Wheels on fire ![]() Wheels on fireJoan Venus-Evans Fancy pedalling instead of pounding the pavements for Sport Relief? Well now you can. This year we're being asked to rise to the challenge of running one, three or six miles for Sport Relief. Something for everyone there you might think? But what if, like me, you're not the running type and would like to join in the fun in a way that doesn't involve bits of you wobbling about. The Open Centre Team and a local gym have found the answer. A high-tech exercise bike will allow you to pedal the mile (or more) in the welcoming warmth of your very own BBC Open Centre. Trainers Sam and Ben have assured us that the bike suits all fitness levels and even has a heart rate checker to make sure we don't overdo it. Basically, if you're fit enough to get on the bike you're fit enough to pedal your chosen Sports Relief distance. So what are you waiting for? Why not take the first step and pop along to your BBC Open Centre, Queen's Gardens in Hull, where we'll book you a slot with a trainer and give you one of our free packs containing all the information you need to register and join in raising thousands of pounds for the Sport Relief Mile.
