Tea and Tango

A new season of tea dances have started at Sewerby Hall.

The popular dances have been running since 1998 and were started by Muriel Nifton. Muriel, who is 87 years-old, accompanies the dancers on the organ.

The dances are held every Monday afternoon, except bank holidays. They take place in the hall’s historic glass Orangery.

The afternoons are extremely popular and attract people from across the region. Dancers of any age or ability are welcome.

BBC Humber’s David Reeves went along to trip the light fantastic.
