Daniel Ward with his picture

Picture this

The new BBC building has been immortalised in a college student's art project.

Daniel Ward, an art and design student from Market Weighton, used the BBC building in Hull as the basis for his final piece of course work.

Initially asked to pick a landscape, Daniel decided to go with something more abstract based on a cityscape.

Being a fan of the look of Queen's Court he designed his work around the colours and textures of the newly built building.

Inspired by the likes of Picasso and the Cubist movement, GCSE pupil Daniel told BBC Humber how he produced the picture.
