Black and white artistic photograph of Hull
Hull City Centre in Winter

A female point of view

The newly formed Women's Photography Collective is appealing for women across Hull to take photographs of the city on United Nations Day which is taking place on 24th October.

The group hopes as many women as possible in the city will take photographs from dawn to dusk as possible on that day with the theme of 'peace'.

The UN have declared a decade of peace from 2001 to 2010 and the focus is on safety of children and the role of women in securing peace.

The pictures taken on the day will feature on the Big Screen in Hull City Centre for a week beginning the 5th November.

There are also a variety of workshops taking place in the city on the 24th October which women are invited to come along to.
