I am writing on behalf of my Mother, Constance Violet Houghton (nee Wikberg) who was born on the 6th of December 1920 and sadly passed away on the 13th of August 2005. She was born and lived all her live in Birkenhead, Wirral, where she married her husband Samual, and had five children, Barry, Linda, Stephen, Derek and Keith. While we were going through her photographs and papers (she was a great collector of family memorabilia) we found some very interesting pieces concerning her wartime experiences, which I would like to enter onto the B.B.C WW2 People's War, as a tribute to our Mother and all the other brave women who gave so much to this country's war efforts.
