My contributions to this site are based on my Dad's memories of being an anti-aircraft gunner in Burma, which he wrote down towards the end of his life.

Robert [Bob] Duff was 17 when war broke out. Born in Liverpool's inner city, Dad was the youngest of six children. He died in Warrington in 1999, aged 77.

Please bear in mind he wrote this some 50 years after the event, so details, spellings etc. may not be 100% accurate - however I hope readers will get an idea of what life was like in a theatre of war which is all too often overlooked...
