About the contributor

My name is Adrian Underwood and I am the youngest son of Charlie and Gwendoline Underwood who are both now sadly deceased.

I do not personally have any memories of WW2 but my father who lived through it starting writing a book about his life in Orford which was never completed before his death in 1997.

I have published what my father had written and called "My Orford", online as a fitting tribute to the man I am proud to call Dad.

To me and my five brothers he was, and always will be, our guiding light.
