The contribution submitted (Granny's wartime memories) was written by my mother, Mrs Rose Woodhead, when she was in her early 80s, in response to queries from her grandchildren about what it was like to be living during the second world war. She writes as she speaks, and the text, apart from some minor spelling and punctuation editing, and condensing, is as she wrote it down. As she is now in her 90s, and not computer literate, all correspondence should be routed through me via this site.
