My father came across the Atlantic in 1941/42 from Guyana with a group of other young men. They had volunteered to help with the war effort especially after so many young men were killed. I have written here what he dictated to me, as his activity during the war. He is now approaching 86 and so I was pleased to write what would otherwise be unknown of his contribution during the war.
