I was born in February 1944 and my parents were Edna and George Walker. They lived in Seymour Court, Muswell Hill, London. My father was an advertising clerk at C. J. Lytle in Dean Street, London. When he was called up he joined the Royal Artillery and was Lt Serg, 1741384 RA, He was posted to the west country - Wincanton and Bickleigh Nr, Tiverton amongst other places and towards the end of the war was sent to Palestine. My mother joined the local fire service until I was born. She (and then I) sometimes stayed with a Mrs Kelland and her family in Bickleigh, Devon so that we could see my father for a few days. My mother and I were briefly evacuated to the west country, I think it was near Wincanton. I would love to hear from anyone who remembers my parents and could tell me anything that you know about them during the war. They are both now dead unfortunately.
