I would just like to say why I am so interested in WW2.
I think that the way the country pulled together so well was amazing, with the ladies taking over the farm jobs (like the Land Girls)and basically running the country whilst the men who could fight went to war . Also how we managed to still come through the War smiling & beliving that everything would be ok. It showed how when we want to as a country we can all unite and make things alright, a time which sadly seems to have passed by in this time
When Iwas a little child I used to love hearing my Nan & Grandad tell me tales of life in Devon during the War, and how they used to recount the Blitzing of Exeter. I just love finding more out about how people lived during this hard time.
