My father was born at number 75 Junction Road Totton Southampton in April 1945 and later went on to be adopted aged four. The address no longer exists having made way for newer developments. The quest for my father and I has been long and hard but we are looking for help from anybody who can provide any snippet of information that will help us to identify his father a 14th Port Soldier.
We know that he was a black American soldier based around the Totton area and was a bit of a singer who would get up on the stage at the Empire Hall and British American Tobacco Club as well as the Testwood Club.
The name of the soldier is Felix and that is all we know, but he should have been a fairly well known face around the area because of his singing. I have already traced my fathers birth mother who is now dead as well as other living relatives and a reunion is planned.
If you have any war time memories from this time that may help please feel free to leave me a message on my personal page.
