Norman Thompson Aged 64

This is a memory recalled by my husband Norman Thompson.

Myself along with my Mother and Father were waiting for a train on Peckham Rye Station in the winter of 1944. I was only 4 years old at the time.

I remember being thrown under a station seat because the air-raid siren had gone off. My parents said to stay where I was as there was a bomb coming down.

The bomb landed but did not go off, so I am still here today.
