My great uncle was Samuel Mcfarland he was in the 70th Battalion Royal Inniskilling Fusileres he died in the Belfast Blitz he was returning to duty after been home on leave. My grandfather told me the story many times and he said that he had the hardest job of his life identifing his 19 year old brothers body and the only part my Grandad could identify him by was his hands because thier hands were the same
