On the rear of this photo is written good luck 5/8/1940 from Ben Cluff. See "Evacuation to the West Country",by Derek Wetenhall

This picture of the boys with teacher was taken by a newspaper reporter on the occasion when our teacher, Ben Cluff took a group of us evacuees to Symonds Yat on a day out. I am second from the left
