BBC was vital source of information during WW2.
The only reliable source of news told in hungarian language kept the population in that country informed what was really going on as the War spread all over.

Families at night 8 PM gathered at their radios behind shut windows covered with dark drapes. Also it was mandatory to cover lights because of the air raids beside that it was risky to find out who is listening to these broadcasts apprx. lasting 15 minutes (?).

So much today about BBC during WW2.
Wonder: why and how did I come to this communication Forum? h2g2 Researcher 211101.

Will gather more bits from the past.
