This is just a chance to jot down a few memories of the last war.
I was born in Wimbledon in 1930.
My father had fought in the first world war and suffered from mustard gas poisoning.
His brother, my uncle,served also and they were both fortunate to survive where so many did not.
I remember my uncle saying that he was on the front line in "both wars" for like the rest of us he went through the worst of the blitz.His house was damaged badly.
I would also mention that in the first war he was awarded the Military Medal for
