i can remember the days when the germans bombed dundee in particular my mother and fathers friend who lived in rosefield street.a bom one off a stick which fell dropped on the roof of the tenement building and blew out the complete four storey stair well.as a result the residents were trapped in their homes one of them being our family friend.the fire service attended and our friend crying for help from his front window was i think the only person to be injured.his injury was caused not by the bom but being struck on the nose by the firemans ladder.to this day i wonder was he the only victim of the dundee boms.
